Well, I felt like making myself sick so I went to my old Foxsports blog today and read my preseason predictions for the Eastern Conference. I was right on about a lot of stuff except my Bulls. So here is a list of some of my good predictions mixed with my bad ones:
Bad- Bulls will win the East. I was not the only one saying this at the begining of the year. Many non-homers believed them to be the best in the east, or at least top 3.
Good- I picked Celtics to be second in east. So if you can excuse my Bulls prediction then I was at least right about them being good.
Bad- I stated that Luol Deng would become a Allstar. Injuries and bad coaching killed that dream. Maybe next year.
Good- Dwight Howard will become the leagues best Center. I am sure many predicted this as well, but he sure did a nice job of taking over that position.
Bad- I picked the Nets ahead of the Magic. I really thought they had one last run in them. No Heart on that team at all.
Good- I did not have the Heat making the playoffs. After my Bulls swept them in the first round last year I knew they were in trouble.
Bad- I felt that Ben Wallace would shine this year and be his old self again. I was way wrong there. Wallace shut his game down the minute he signed with us.
Well there is more but that is the meat of it. If I was to remove the Bulls from the top and shift everyone else up one spot then I would have looked like a genius right now, instead I am just another Homer.
